Meet Kahsay Boersma, one of our incredible 7th graders at Legacy Christian! If you know him, you already love him. This year, Kahsay is stepping into a brand-new opportunity that combines learning, serving, and building community.

With the help of our Educational Support Services team, Kahsay is practicing his academic, vocational, and social goals through his weekly treat delivery, Kahsay’s Concession Cart! This exciting project gives him the chance to practice real-world skills like collecting and filling orders, managing money, and delivering treats, all while creating meaningful connections with his middle school classmates.
Sure, the snacks are great, but the real treat is seeing the joy, friendship, and belonging that Kahsay and his peers experience together. That’s what Christian community is all about.
At Legacy, Community and Inclusive Education are two of the pillars we live out every day. Being an inclusive school means we don’t just want every student to be in the classroom; we want every student to belong and be able to share their unique, God-given gifts with the Body of Christ. Kahsay’s Concession Cart is one way we’re putting that belief into action, blending learning with community and celebrating the joy of doing life together.
If you’d like to support this project, we’d love your help! You can contribute by purchasing items from our Amazon Wishlist to help keep Kahsay’s cart cruising. Items can be dropped off or delivered directly to Legacy Christian’s West Campus.
Thank you for cheering Kahsay on and for supporting inclusion at Legacy Christian, where every student is known, loved, and belongs. 🌟
