Media
The library media center is the hub of the school and the educational program of the students. Our library collection supports the classroom curriculum so that the students' learning can be enhanced with a wide variety of books and other materials. Teaching students to locate, understand, and use information is a critical life skill. These skills can be taught by using a wide variety of materials found in our media center.
Music Program
Students at Legacy Christian School are very involved in developing their music talents and in serving others and praising God with these talents. Nearly all of our Middle Schoolers are involved in choir and a majority of them are also playing an instrument in band or orchestra. The students participate in a variety of performances throughout the school year.
Elementary students are very involved in music, as well. Students learn a new hymn, chorus and composer each month. 4th graders learn the recorder, and all of our 5th graders are learning a band or orchestra instrument. Family and friends are very welcome to join us for weekly worship on Fridays at 9:10 as we praise our God in word and song.
Special Education Services
We believe that God creates each child special, complete with his or her own set of abilities, gifts and talents. All Legacy students are celebrated for their individual differences – and taught to celebrate the uniqueness in one another – within an inclusive learning environment.
Inclusive education recognizes that children with special needs are made in God’s image, are brought into the Christian home and believing community, and are regarded as holy unto the Lord. (I Cor. 7:14). Working in partnership with the

Talent Development at
Academically talented elementary school students attend enrichment classes in math/science and in reading/social studies once per week for 30-60 minutes. Taught by the talent development director, many of these classes extend topics taught in the regular curriculum.
Talent Development at
In middle school, the talent development director works with high-ability students on special projects related to the regular curriculum, as well as leads literature circles on challenging books and “seminars” on current event topics such as global warming. In this program, students research and present findings on subtopics and then discuss related issues from a Christian point of view.
Technology
Building Christ-followers and Kingdom builders at the beginning of a new century means equipping each student, not only with a knowledge base, but also with skills, capabilities, and confidence in facing new challenges. One critical area where these skills, capabilities, and confidence are required will be in the rapidly changing area of technology. Legacy Christian School's use of technology works to encourage students to use new tools to learn about their world, to grow in competence within it, and ultimately, to offer themselves as servants building Christ's Kingdom.
