Giving to Legacy Christian School

Legacy Christian School is growing from the rich heritage of generations of parents, grandparents, friends and churches committed to providing their children with a distinctively Christian education.  This commitment is evident in the tremendous ongoing financial, prayer and volunteer support given by those people.

One of Legacy’s goals is to make Christian education more affordable for those who desire it.  While tuition covers a large part of the cost of educating our students, the generosity of our donors allows us to provide our students with the best resources and educational opportunities possible. There are many options for giving to Legacy Christian School. These include giving to the Legacy Foundation, the Annual Fund, the Capital Fund or the Tuition Assistance Fund.  All gifts given to Legacy, whether they are one-time donations, long term pledges, planned gifts or endowed gifts are some of the many blessings that enable us to continue to build a legacy now and for generations to come.

Legacy Foundation

The Legacy Foundation is a fund that serves as a long-term endowment to keep Christian education affordable at Legacy and underwrites many long term needs of the school. The earnings from the Foundation fund are used to support the following: General Tuition Assistance, Staff Development, Curriculum Development and Capital Improvement.

Annual Fund

The Annual Fund is used to finance projects on an annual basis that are not entirely covered in the budget.  Your gift may be designated to various projects or programs such as Curriculum Development, Facilities, Foreign Language, Inclusive Education, Library, Music, Sports, Talent Development, Technology, or other special projects.

Capital Fund

The Capital Fund is used to finance large-scale projects such as equipment purchases, building renovations and other capital needs.  Now that we are debt free we hope to build a reserve of money in our capital fund for future projects.  This will help us avoid future debt to be fiscally responsible and good stewards.

Tuition Assistance

At Legacy Christian School we recognize that Christian education is an important investment, which for many of our families, requires a great sacrifice. Many of our current families receive tuition assistance of some kind on an annual basis.  This tremendous support comes from churches, family members, friends and other outside institutions, as well as the LCS Tuition Cap program.

The Tuition Cap program at Legacy provides support for families in need of additional assistance. This program allows families to apply for aid on an annual basis if their net tuition amount is greater than a Board determined percentage of their annual income. Funds for the Tuition program are raised annually through the LCS Auction and additional donations.

Our Tuition Reduction Incentive Program (TRIP) is another way for Legacy parents to earn and receive tuition aid.  Through partnerships with many local and national companies, LCS parents can earn tuition dollars by purchasing gift cards.
Grandparents and friends of LCS can participate as well.  Earnings can be designated for a specific student or donated to the school.
For more information about participating in the TRIP program, click here.

Legacy is also working to establish scholarships. Currently there are a small number of scholarships available for students who meet specific requirements and are selected to receive them.  Please contact the school for information on how you can work with Legacy to set up a scholarship fund.

Through innovative tuition assistance programs like these, we are providing opportunities to make Christian education at LCS more affordable.
