Legacy Try-Outs

7th Grade Athletics

We do our best to provide every student interested in sports the opportunity to participate. If the number of interested student athletes exceeds the number allowed by two teams, try-outs may be implemented at the discretion of the athletic director, principal and coach.

8th Grade Athletics

We have a team in each sport. Try-outs are expected, unless the number of interested student athletes does not constitute a full team. 

Eligibility

Being on a team is a wonderful experience for our students – but we believe athletics are a privilege not a right. That said, Legacy follows a firm eligibility policy that holds student athletes responsible for their grades, their actions and Christian attitudes in and outside of school.

Both Legacy and the State of Michigan require every student athlete to have an updated sports physical before practicing or playing in any sporting event. We offer each student the opportunity to receive a sports physical at school, at the beginning of each school year. Students may see their own physician for a sports physical at anytime, provided the physician completes the appropriate MHSAA form and the student returns it to the Legacy Christian Middle School Office. MHSAA forms are available in the Legacy Christian Middle School Office.
